Victoria Colbert is 20 years old and is interested in becoming a Photographer. A native of the local area, she is a Black American originally from Washington, D.C who currently resides in Bethesda, MD. Victoria recently began working as a photographer for the Montgomery College, Rockville Campus newspaper. She has experience selecting photos, editing photos, using studio equipment and constructed lighting equipment such as reflectors. Other professional experiences include completing an internship at Imagine Photography in Washington, D.C. Her responsibilities included packaging photos for clients, taking photos for events, and editing photos using programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and other programs.

     She loves to take pictures of all kinds but her main interests are taking pictures of people, abstract art, objects, nature, fashion, urban life and black and white photography. She also loves color in her photos, more like pop art, but appreciates contrast and simple details. Her achievements and motivation keep her wanting to be more successful and motivate her to develop additional skills in photography including developing her own business and promoting VEC photography. Her professional goals consist of showing her work in print and electronic media, such as periodicals and websites.

     However, before photography became her passion, music is first. She still wants to pursue her passion for music as an music artist. Victoria really loves to sing. She is recently working on developing her music craft, continue to network, and working on combining music and photography together.
